Yesterday I met with Ranger Fields at Hanging Rock State Park. He has asked me to use my contacts and resources in the community and abroad to find historical images of Vade Mecum to use in the Interpretive and Educational Displays throughout the hotel. Rather than have 40-50 different people sending him stuff, he has asked that I gather together materials and put them in a google drive to share with him. He will then forward it on to his co-worker at NC State Parks who is in charge of Interpretive Design.
GoalĀ – to give high quality digital images and artifacts to Janis (jhendersonhunsuker at gmail dot com) who will pass them on to the team in charge of creating the Interpretive Design displays at Vade Mecum.
These posters, signs and displays will be in the 1st floor foyer, history room and in the 2nd and 3rd floor hallways of the Vade Mecum hotel among other locations.
Deadline – Please get all digital images to Janis Henderson by 7/18/25 so she will have enough time to pass them on to the folks at HARO.
I think this is a great opportunity for folks to have their voice heard by showing images and artifacts that are near and dear to your hearts. Let’s help Vade Mecum be the best park it can be!!
